I am excited to try this new knitted hat pattern! I love the texture. I am using one specific yarn just for this hat to show more of the design. More colors to come!
Hello there! How is everyone? My life has been consumed with preparing for a huge craft fair coming in November. I have been working as much as I can building inventory. Lots of hats, scarves, mittens, and more. I’m so excited for this fair! I did a small one last year so this will be my first big one. We’re talking over 10,000 shoppers!
Ok I am a tad overwhelmed as well. The thoughts in my head are non stop.
Do I have enough variety? Too much variety? Will I have enough inventory? Will I even sell anything? How do I find the time to prepare with two kids and house to take care of?
Ha it sounds like I am in over my head a bit. But, I’m still really excited. I have an awesome husband who helps keep the kids busy on the weekends so I can sneak away to knit. I have a mom who has tons of experience in craft fairs and has been a huge help with ideas. So I have a lot of great support! Even if I am crazy for doing this. (wink)
Here’s a peak at what I have been making! I hope to add some new colors and styles I have made into my Etsy shop as well.
These are so cozy! I want everything warm and cozy.
Slouchy Hats I love the colors… I have many more to make!I wrote up a new infinity scarf pattern and am working on making more. These drape a lot better than my crocheted ones. I can’t wait to add more, especially to the shop!
Cute coastersI’m so excited to have some mittens added this year!
I’m sure I will post after the fair to maybe share my experience and even some do’s and don’ts. Now, back to work!
Do you have any tips or experiences with craft fairs? Please share! I can’t get enough help and advice.
I just listed the pattern for the little basket pictured HERE
I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday! I have so many WIPs going right now. I am one of those crazy people who starts multiple projects at once. Meanwhile ignoring the things that need to get done and are a higher priority. I’m not ashamed to admit that. 🙂
So here is what I have on my needles and hooks right now…
- A new scarf design (pictured). I love the charcoal grey color!
- A different scarf design I did and plan on making more. I love it! Think big, cozy, and warm
- Baby hats (6 to be exact). These are for a friend and they are one of those WIPs I have been slacking on
- Coasters- I wrote up a quick pattern for some simple coasters. I can’t wait to list them in the shop! I first need to make a bunch of colors
- Hats- So many! I have a couple on needles and many more I want to start.
- I’m brainstorming a blanket/throw design to make to have for a craft fair. I can’t decide on the pattern yet but I at least have the yarn ready!
So as you can tell, I like to keep busy with multiple projects going at once. My motivation right now is a big arts and crafts fair I entered in November AND fall! Just building tons of inventory.
I’m off to sip my coffee and work on those baby hats… While I dream of doing the more fun projects waiting for me. 🙂
Here’s what I am up to these days in the yarn world…
I’m so excited to be working on some new stuff to add to the shop for fall! I’m also building inventory for a big craft fair I entered in November. I can’t wait to show you some new designs and colors. Everything will be very warm and cozy.
I get so antsy with projects so I find myself starting a bunch of projects at once. Probably not the best strategy. I don’t know why I started two hats at the same time!
These babies came in the mail last week and I can’t wait to knit up some big comfy scarves with them.
What are you guys making on this fine day?
Time for a little WIP Wednesday !
I’m getting really close to finishing my friend’s blanket. I should have finished this a long time ago. I am so bad at keeping up with projects that take longer. It’s turning out really cool though!
