I am excited to try this new knitted hat pattern! I love the texture. I am using one specific yarn just for this hat to show more of the design. More colors to come!
Wow, I haven’t done a WIP Wednesday post in a long time. Let alone three blog posts in a row! So here’s what I’m working on… Writing up a pattern for this tablet case using the Linked Crochet Stitch. I am also going to do a tutorial on how to do the Linked Stitch before I post the pattern. It’s really easy but a very sturdy stitch. Perfect for protecting our precious tablets!
The Buddy Blanket… It’s going slow since I made a mistake. I haven’t even finished the first row!
More granny squares
That’s all for now! Happy Wednesday
Hey everyone! I missed WIP Wednesday yesterday so I thought I would post today. First is this little piggy for my daughter. She has been requesting that I make her this pig for quite awhile. She is so excited! She has already named her “Friendly”.
The other thing I have been working a lot on is the granny square blanket. I may have mentioned that I was going to try to have it ready to give to my daughter for Christmas. That obviously didn’t happen! I’m not disappointed (she got a lot of awesome gifts). I decided my goal is to just finish it sometime this year. Seems more reasonable! Hailey is still picking a lot of the colors, which is so fun. I also went back after awhile and re-sewed in a lot of the ends. I did a pretty poor job the first time around. Now they are all sewn in securely! I will make sure to sew them in as I go from now on.
Check it out!
I am loving how colorful it is! I also really like the white border
I have also been enjoying seeing everyone’s Mood Blankets around the internet and on Instagram. I think that is such a fun idea! I decided not to participate because of the blanket I’m already working on. That’s all for now!
Hey everyone! Happy Crochet Day! Are going to do some crocheting today? I thought I would share what I have been working on lately. I am focusing a lot on my granny square blanket. I decided to give it to my daughter for Christmas so I need to get serious and get my granny on.
I still let my daughter pick most of the colors for the squares. Just so she can feel like she is part of the process. She loves it!
I am excited to see it finished now. I have three rows of 13 squares (odd number, I know) plus four squares on the fourth row. I really didn’t plan the size in the beginning but I do realize now that it will be pretty big! It is starting to look like a blanket, which is really fun. I’m bummed because I haven’t had a lot of time to crochet or knit recently. A certain 4 year old has been keeping me busy! My daughter started school, gymnastics, and dance all in the past couple weeks. She is having a blast but man do we seem like we are going all the time. So any yarn fun has been put on the back burner for me, but I am ok with that.
I hope you all get a chance to enjoy some crochet time today on Crochet Day! I am definitely going to make some granny squares to celebrate the day
